Property Belleterre

Location:

The claims from this report are located approximately at 110 km South-west of Vald’Or (Guillet Township, county of Temiscamingue), division SNRC 31M-07.  They consist of two blocks located 5 km North-East of the Belleterre village.
 
You can find these claims, leaving Ville-Marie (the main town in the county) by Road 382 east to Belleterre, then a forest path (Trout Lake Road) to about 1 km South.
 
Description:

Belleterre property is owned 100% by Fieldex Exploration. This property has been acquired for its potential base metals and gold. In recent years, Fieldex has conducted basic exploration work of ground geophysical and geochemical.
 
Regional geology:

The property is located at the extreme south of the greenstone belt of Abitibi, in the path of volcano-sedimentary-Ville-Marie Belleterre. This band is composed primarily of basalt, andesite, and some horizons of felsic lavas and tuffs. Synvolcanics many intrusions of basic to granitic composition, as well as several diabase dykes of Proterozoic age cut volcanic rocks. Finally on the south side near the front of Grenville, a large tract belonging to the sedimentary Pontiac complements the path.
 
Mineralization:
 
The region has two former producers, Belleterre Mine (Au) in Guillet Township, operated from 1940 to 1958 and the mine Lorrainne (Ni-Cu) in Gaboury Township. Belleterre Mine has produced over 800 000 ounces of gold while the mine Lorrainne over 600 000 tonnes of copper ore and nickel were extracted at a level of 1.5%. Many other major indexes are also known in the vicinity of land owned by Fieldex. Among these are the indices of copper nickel Kelly Lake (Township Blondeau), Blondeau Nickel (Blondeau Township), Laforce (Brodeur Township), Midrim and Allota(Laverlochère Township).
