Property Case Pegmatite

Location and access
The Case Property is located about 80 km East of Cochrane, in Steele Township, NE Ontario. It lies within the Larder Lake Mining Davison.  Road access is from the towns of Cochrane or Iroquois Falls. The property consists of 7 staked claims totalling 47 units.

Geology
The "Case Pegmatites" were first reported in 1962, and have been explored by various groups for several commodities since then. The 3 main pegmatites have previously been named the North, Main and South dikes. The North Dike has a length of 120 m and is up to 8 m thick, the Main Dike is 300 m long and up to 33 m thick and the South Dike is 14 m thick and 240 m-long. The North and Main dikes dip 450 to 750 to the NW, the South Dike dips N at about 850. The Main and North dikes are somewhat similar geologically, being quite well-zoned beryl-muscovite-spodumenequartz-albite-K'spar pegmatites. The South dike is only weakly zoned, lacks spodumene, and has been partly albitized. All these dikes are hosted by pale granodioritic rocks of the Case Batholith, to which they may be genetically related.

Mineralization
All 3 Case Pegmatites contain disseminated, fine-grained columbitetantalite, but the best mineralization is in the North and Main Dikes. In these, Ta values were found in every zone except the barren quartz cores, with most of the better sections in the units that envelop the quartz zones. Sections with significant Ta were found in 6 of 7 drill holes and most saw cuts. Seven significant sections in 5 saw cuts ranged from 2.5 to 11.0 m long and contain 0.019 to Q.040% Ta205 (average Q.033% Ta 2 0s 1 58 m). Fifteen significant sections from 7 drill holes ranged from 1.01 to 12.86 m thick with from 0.011 "/o to 0.113 0X0 Ta2O5 (average D.0263% Ta205 / 88m).
