Property Carpentier

Location:

Carpentier property is located eighteen kilometers northwest of the town of Senneterre, Abitibi Est. It straddles Carpentier and Montgay Township and covers lots 59 to 62 rows VI to IX of the Carpentier township and the lot 1 row VI, lots 1 to 5 row VII, lots 1 and 2 of row VIII and lots 1 to 3 row IX of the Montgay township. It can be reached easily from Senneterre by various logging roads that cut the property. Taschereau river intersects the northwest area of the property.

Description:

The property consists of twenty-seven claims covering an area of 1028 hectares. These claims are registered in the name of Fieldex Exploration Inc.

Property geology:

The property is covered mainly by units of the geological Landrienne formation belonging to the group Harricana. This formation mainly consists of massive basaltic flows and breccia locally magnetic overcome by flows pillowed vesicular. In the extreme south-east of the unit, massive basalts are covered by a large lens of pyroclastic rocks of intermediate to felsic composition. The thick massive flows are at least ten meters, and often have a gabbroic texture. The basalts have verdigris of dark gray color and are very dark green in fresh fractures. These lavas are often layered with levels of less than ten meters of fine grain mafic tuff. Basalts are often injected by magnetic gabbros and felsic intrusive generally granitic.

The rocks of this region are affected by a major phase of folding which has led to the development, on the property, of a synclinal structure flanked by two anticlinal.  Axes of these folds have a north-west direction and an unknown dip. The schistosity is well developed and the direction parallel to the axes of folds.

Mineralization:

Two mineralized showings have been updated on the property. Roland index is comprised primarily of pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite, pyrite and magnetite. The best results obtained by drilling are: 1,82% Cu, 3,43 g/t Au on 2,32 meters (CC-6), 2,16% Cu, 0,69% Zn, 7,54g/t Ag on 1,37 meter(RX-3) and 0.70% Cu over 4,27 meters (R-8). At least ten wells have been performed on this index. Ellmargo index consists of disseminated pyrite associated with small veins quartz in a dyke finely grained and feldspar porphyry. The dyke is séricitized and associated with a shear zone. The B-1 drilling has intersected an intersection of 1,89 g/t Au, 0,34 g/t Ag, 0,25% Zn over 1,20 meter to 107,1 meters along the hole.

A deposit of sulphides exhalation of Cu-Zn (Vermont Zinc) is less than 1,0 km east of the property. This deposit contains mineral resources of 193,780 tonnes of grading 3,41% zinc and 58,62 g/t Ag.
